Does this replace my Garmin?

Strider sits on top of it. Pull GPS + HR from any Garmin, Apple Watch, or Coros device. Strider does the thinking; the watch does the recording.

How honest is the recovery score?

It will tell you to take a day off if HRV drops 12% week-over-week. We've held back 1.4 million unnecessary hard sessions.

Is it good for beginners?

Yes. Couch-to-5k, couch-to-10k, and first-half-marathon plans are built in. Pace targets adjust each week.

What about lifting / cross-train days?

Strider logs strength sessions as a load contributor. The recovery clock weighs them, even if they're not running.
